Pastor Sailor

The Ministries of the Church are many and varied to meet the manifold needs of the church and community. The ministries include, but are not limited to: Education & Bible/Sunday School, Men’s Ministry, Outreach/Evangelism, Benevolent, Mother’s Board, Usher & Hospitality, Music, Children and Youth, Women’s, Married Couples, Singles, and Pastor’s Aide.

Education & Sunday School Training

The Education and Sunday School Training is for everyone, from youth to old age, who wants to learn about our Creator, our Savior and Comforter and how to live each day to the fullest. Each of life bring new challenges and experiences that we can all learn how to respond to.

Sunday School provides an organized method of studying the scriptures to enhance not only our knowledge, but also our understanding of how the Word can be applied to our lives that we may be drawn closer to the likeness of our Savior.

Sunday School classes provide a forum in which the students can ask questions and be led to biblical answers to those questions. We firmly believe that Sunday School is not just for children, but that EVERY Saint should be in Sunday School. Sunday School coordinates the Vacation Bible School Program and various Education Conferences.

Various additional trainings and workshops are offered to support members and other individuals who may be interested in gaining additional knowledge relating to family life, jobs, parenting, marriage, financial stability and planning, employment preparation and advancement, etc.

Men’s Ministry

The Men’s Ministry works with the Deacon’s Board and serves the church by developing, coordinating and administering an effective and comprehensive ministry to meet the needs of men of the church. Colossians 1:28 states, “That we may present every man completed in Christ.”

The primary purpose is to help men grow in their relationship with God and build deep friendships with other godly men. A natural result of this is spiritually stronger men, husbands, fathers, families and churches. Group meetings of the men help to facilitate solid and deeper friendships among the men. This ministry is open to all men, members and non-members. In Proverbs 27:17 we are told, "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." Strong men build up other strong men.

Outreach/Evangelism Ministry

The Outreach/Evangelism Ministry involves several key actions: telling the good news, announcing the kingdom (reign) of God, and bearing witness.

Outreach provides witness beyond the walls of our facility, beginning in our local community, by seeking opportunities of need where both individuals and groups can provide helps so that examples of God’s love are displayed. Through these strategic acts of kindness, relationships may be developed which will afford opportunity for sharing of the Gospel. Evangelism is the duty of every Christian. Whether you share your faith a lot or a little, the Lord wants Christians to share the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Mother’s Board

The Mother’s Board plays a leadership role in helping to direct and support the various ministries. The Mother’s Board and Women’s Department work very closely together. This auxiliary is geared to teaching women things that they should know to be godly, clean saints, effective wives and mothers and how to support the church and the Pastor.

This ministry also helps in building up every auxiliary of the Women's Department, and aids in ministering to the young congregants, and reaching out to the church and community youth to provide guidance and love.

Usher and Hospitality

The usher board is an active auxiliary of the church. A church usher is a volunteer who acts as a greeter and guide in the church. An usher is often the first representative of the congregation whom visitors encounter when entering a church, and he or she is responsible for conveying the best first impression to people assembling for worship. But the duties and responsibilities of a church usher are more varied than simply extending a warm welcome. The usher is a thoroughly trained leader in the house of the Lord and as such plays an important role in the worship service. It takes a special gift to be a welcoming presence in the church.

The Hospitality ministry aids in fostering a continually welcoming environment for the members, prospective members and visitors. This work includes but is not limited to sending thank you cards to the homes of church visitors; I miss you cards to the homes of absent church members and calling; coordinating meal preparations for special occasions and activities of the church; and presenting special love tokens.

Music Department

The Music Department includes the Musicians, and Sanctuary and Youth Choirs. The Church Choirs have an indispensable role in Church Worship.

The choirs have a variety of responsibilities. Their primary role is to support and enhance the congregation in singing worship songs. As such, the choirs become an important leader in worship, guiding the gathered assembly in prayer and praise through song. The choirs are that portion of the congregation that is trained and rehearsed for the specific task of leading the song and praise of the people. The choir strives for excellence in all that they do.

Youth Department

The Youth Department is committed to and focuses on furthering the goals of the church to reach youth for Christ and engage them in active participation in activities in the church. The youth are busy with putting on plays and programs, serving in the choir, ushering, they are afforded opportunities to attend district, state and national meetings. Time is always allotted for them to participate in fun outings to simply enjoy each other.

We believe that our young people are the leaders of tomorrow and workers of today. Our goal is to inspire, encourage and enlighten our youth on everyday living and learning God’s word. We believe that each one is an individual with unique styles, goals and concerns. Therefore we provide for them the word of God and it’s steps to meeting the individual life circumstances. We invite and welcome you to Celebration Christian Center. The church is a place where the whole person can go and grow, spiritually and physically. You have opportunity to stretch out, fine your place and do a work for the Lord.

Pastor’s Aide Committee

The Pastor’s Aide Committee assists the Pastor within the ministry, serving as caretaker of the Pastor and his family in all areas of their lives with the love of God, ensuring their needs are met at all times. The committee provides the support needed to the pastor and his family, whether it be in the form of prayer, encouragement, through words, or other actions that show their love and gratitude to the pastoral family. The Committee heads these initiatives but the entire congregation participates and supports the programs.

Benevolence

The Benevolence Committee is primarily responsible for studying the needs of church families and other persons in the community to which the Church ministers. They formulate a plan for meeting those needs.
